Planning, Design and Development
Retaining healthy, mature trees in a development has positive environmental, economic and social benefits. We can facilitate the completion of your project by providing advice to minimise the conflict between trees and development.
Services Provided
Preliminary Tree Assessments - tree retention surveys for development planning
Locating trees accurately is vital for planning purposes. This is done with GPS and categorized using a selective retention index. The data produced can be incorporated into existing CAD plans and aerial photographs.
Arboricultural Impact Assessments – to assess and minimise damage to trees
These reports are used to identify the impacts which a planning proposal may have on trees which have been identified for retention. With the use of these reports, designers are able to make changes to the proposed development so that the retained trees will not be adversely affected.
Tree Protection Plan establishment and monitoring
These reports recommend methodologies for protecting trees prior to, during and after the development process. These recommendations are guided by the Australian Standard AS4970 – 2009 Protection of Trees on Development Sites.
